Class Recap 11/20 – Continuous Movement Flow Intermediate

Aeon Oliver-Terry, MCT, led the newest class at Natural Movement Santa Barbara, Continuous Movement Flow. This is an intermediate class good for students who have attended several Fundamentals or Intermediate classes and are familiar with the majority of the Beginner Natural Movement skills and some of the Intermediate Natural Movement skills. The workout was thoughtfully designed to balance intensity with recovery and allow students to maintain continuous movement for the full hour. Aeon provided optional challenges and modifications to make movements harder or easier for individual students.

Shin boxes – progressing through each phase
Standing to kneeling (pretty sure that has a much better name I’m not recalling right now)
Kneel to lateral half kneel (you call it reverse kneel I think)
Standing to tall kneeling – left and right sides alternating
Circular rocking – L + R
Forward rolling
Backward rolling
Foot hand crawl
Tripod transition L + R
Roll over and roll under green bar
Leg Swing up onto bar
Straddle bar to hook foot to low balancing kneel on bar
Inverted crawl
Balance walk the wall around children’s playground
Sprint
Step under 3 bars
Push pull crawl
Vertical jump to balance landing – hold balance
Vault over high wall
Split stance walk
Balance walk on beam with eyes closed
Deadhang – option one hand deadhang
Side swing traverse
Lateral tall kneel to kneel
Hanging knee tuck
Forward traverse
Power traverse
Monkey hang L + R
Hook traverse
Lateral run
Roll over/under 3 bars – slower, focus on form
Sprint to low walls
Very slow stepping over walls – focus on form
Vault over high wall – differently to previous time
Broad jumps, pole to pole
Balance walk backwards on beam
Tap swing with laché style precision landing
Elbow hang
Elbow pull ups
Hand pull ups
Forward and backward rolls
Deep squat
Circular rocking L + R
Kneel to lateral half kneel
Basic shinboxes – no progression
